The cover art is one of my paintings that I did while in India! I wrote this song based on a period of my life when I felt like all of my creativity died. I stopped painting, drawing, dancing and making music. As an artist this felt like a desolate drought in the desert. My spirits had fallen and I felt lost. I was giving all of myself away to others and with that came the price of depleting my personal energy source. On top of it, blaming outside circumstances instead of pointing my finger at the person in the mirror. I’m sure a lot of you can relate to this. When your purpose in life seems to dissipate into a space you’ve never been. The song “Captain” speaks of the Captain that never set sail and blamed it on the fog.
